Indulgence at its very best

Spectacular views across 45 miles of Jurassic coastline

For those who believe that a break should be supported by the finer things in life and want the feel of the French Riviera, without having to leave the country

Devon was voted one of the best holiday regions by the British Travel Awards and Shaldon typifies all of what makes it so special. While the county is renowned for its sleepy fishing villages and rustic towns, Shaldon offers a more sophisticated and vibrant backdrop. Our customers come here to unwind with spectacular views of the coast or to treat themselves in some of the finest wine-bars and restaurants that the West Country has to offer.

A Stunning Aspect

Shaldon seen from the Golf courseCoast View is situated on a hill top, offering spectacular views of the scooped-out bay, peppered with luxury yachts and motorboats. From the deck of your holiday home, you’ll see Shaldon on the Jurassic Coast, which comes into its own as the sun goes down, lighting up in a twinkling kaleidoscope of colours as the restaurants and wine-bars open for business.

However, if you’d rather stay in and enjoy the opulence of your luxury lodge, you can enjoy a glass of something special on your own private deck, and simply soak up a sunset or watch Britain’s oldest passenger ferry, dating back to Saxon times, carrying visitors across the estuary to Teignmouth.

Relaxing at CoastviewNearby, you’ll also find the ODE Restaurant, which offers a sublime fine-dining. However, it’s managed to set itself apart from its competitors by achieving the coveted status of Sustainable Restaurant of the Year, beating places such as The River Cottage. If that title makes you think of mung-beans and incense, think again: the ODE restaurant is a classy, contemporary backdrop in which you can enjoy dishes, such as Butter-poached Native Lobster with Bok Choy and Sladesdown Farm Guinea Fowl with Ashridge Organic Cider Sauce. Such is ODE’s popularity that they’ve even spawned a sustainable, hillside café where you can enjoy simple food, cooked to perfection, whilst enjoying the views over the beach.

Luxury lodges at Coastview

Coast View is arranged so that visitors can enjoy as much peace and solitude as they want. The lodges are exceptional, raising the bar in terms of quality and luxury; rather than looking like lodges, each appears more like a boutique hotel suite, allowing you to relax and truly enjoy the break you’ve earned. In addition, while the town and all it has to offer is only a stone’s throw away, the park feels entirely separate – giving you the choice to go out and explore or to stay in and enjoy the peace and privacy.

If you choose to purchase a caravan holiday home or luxury lodge at Coast View you will benefit from a full 12-month owner season, allowing you to enjoy a five-star break at any time of year and at the time that is most convenient to you. Whether you want to relax in your luxury lodge or take a quick trip to Exeter to indulge in some designer shopping, this location shows Devon off in its most sophisticated light, whatever the season.

A word from our customers

"Excellent weekend, looking forward to going back for half term"

I have recently returned from a weekend camping at Coast View holiday park over the bank holidy and we had a great time! The family loved it! With 2 small children in tow we embarked on our first camping trip as a family. Just for the weekend, baby steps! The park was brilliant for us. Friendly welcome and good pitch. Amazing views and nice setting for the family to ease in to this style of holiday gently. The grounds have been beautifully kept and the new cafe style bar was a real pleasure to visit. I have visited this park a few years back pre-children and my what a difference for the better! The location was ideal for taking the children exploring the surrounding area - we took a trip to the zoo. The manager was really helpful, I asked if I could see one of the houses with the idea of coming back in half term (think camping will be too cold then) and was kindly shown a starfish chalet. We've booked! We're coming back coast view!

And a little more...

"Amazing views and super location"

We stayed one week in a chalet. The resort is clean and tidy. It has outstanding views direct from the chalet. We were very lucky to go the first week of August and a great warm week of weather. The pool is newly refurbished. There is plenty to do in the village of Shaldon with the beautiful beach and Coast View is in a very convenient and beautiful location.
